PICTURE FRAME FITTINGS

Picture Hooks
Traditional pressed steel Hooks, brass or bronze plated. All sizes are manufactured with offset pin holes to allow for the correct entry angle of pins into the wall.
Screw Eyes
A popular way to hang pictures. Screw eyes are available in the following sizes 12 x 00, 14 x 1, 16 x 1, 20 x 2, 25 x 4, and 30 x 6 in Nickel or Brass Plated Finish.
Picture Wire
Brass Picture Wire is of a superior quality made from six strands of fine brass wire braided around a steel centre core. Available in 150 metre or 1000 metre reels or small metre coils ideal for your customers to attach themselves. The wire comes in varying strengths relevant to the weight of pictures being hung.
Rings and Clips
Simple to use and suitable for small to medium sized pictures. Insert a small hole in the backing board, feed the clip through then split the tail open to secure the hanger. Supplied ready assembled or unassembled.
Hanging Clips
A budget hanger that can be clipped over the edge of the backing board then hung directly onto a wall hook. Ideal for small pictures.
Security Fixings
A bracket is screwed onto the back of the frame. This has a slot in it which locks onto a T Headed Screw in the wall. A special key is used to turn and lock the screw into the bracket. These Security Fittings may be used on metal or wooden frames. Available separately or as kit. Full instructions are enclosed with each kit.
D-Rings
D Rings are a universal hanger, which may be fixed onto the frame with screws or attached to the backing board with bifurcated rivets. Made from steel and plated in either nickel or brass. Single Hole D Rings used for smaller frames come in heavy duty, standard and mini sizes. Double Hole D Rings ideal for larger frames where a stronger hanger is required are available in heavy duty and standard sizes.
Strap Hangers
For very large, heavy pictures or mirrors it is advisable to use Strap Hangers. They come with 2 hole fixing (Mini Strap Hanger) or with a 3 hole fixing (Heavy Duty Strap Hanger) which can be screwed into the moulding using wood screws. The hanger should be placed on each side of the frame one-third from the top. The buckle end of the hanger should face up and slightly inward. They can be hung with Cord or Wire, or the Strap Hanger may be hung on our special wall hanger.
Wall Hangers
For use with Strap Hangers to attach frames to the wall, these Hangers have two fixing holes and a centre adjustable channel up to ¾" for ease of locating and levelling.
Moulding Hooks
A traditional Hook that has had a very big revival with many more homes having wooden picture rails fitted. Made from pressed steel either brass or bronze plated. Small Picture Rail Hooks are made from thicker steel to provide extra strength.
J-Hooks
Fitted to walls for use with D-Rings and 3 Hole Plate Rings, etc. Available in solid brass or more economical brass plated steel, 2 ¼" long.
Loop Hangers
These heavy duty hangers are made from zinc plated steel and come in 3 sizes, 1 hole, 2 hole or 3 hole. They are particularly suited to hanging heavy pictures and mirrors. They can be threaded with cord or wire, or may be used with our wall hangers that are screwed onto the wall.
Glass Plates
An excellent way to hang pictures or mirrors if extra security of required. Pressed from brass or steel that is brass plated. Available in plain, countersunk, slotted and reverse slotted.
Angled Picture Plates
A slightly thicker 38mm Glass Plate, steel brass plated, bent at right angles for use when making box frames.
Light Bent Clips and Spring Clips
Spring steel retaining clips of various sizes, most commonly used to hold the backs of cigarette card mounts or stretched canvases in the frame.
Photo Frame Supports
These innovative supports have been designed with strength and durability in mind. They are chemically blacked and inserted into 2 holes in the back of the frame. Once fitted they provide a durable support for free standing frames, unlike conventional strut backs that often break. Available in two sizes:- small is recommended for moulding profiles under ¾" wide and frame sizes up to 8" x 6". Large is recommended for moulding profiles over ¾" wide and for frame sizes up to 16" x 12".
